Africa - Operation Enduring Freedom

A contingent from the 35th MP Co began a 12-month deployment to Djibouti, Africa in April, 2006, returning in June 2006. They were replaced by a second contingent from the unit, which served from Feb, 2006 to early in 2007.

The 2d Bn, 130th FA began a year-long deployment to Egypt as part of the Multinational Force-Sinai (MFO-Sinai) in the fall of 2009. While there, their mission was to keep the peace in the Sinai between the Arabs and the Israeli.s.

The 2d Combined Arms Battalion, 137th Inf deployed to Djibouti, Africa (the horn of Africa) in the summer of 2010, as part of the peacekeeping effort in that area.
