Bosnia-Herzegovina 1996-present: For Operation Joint Endeavor, three units were mobilized to support operations in Bosnia-Herzegovina from late 1995 to the present. Battery E, Target Acquisition, 161st Field Artillery, Larned and Great Bend, completed a highly successful mission where they were mobilized for nine months. They were stationed in Sarajevo, manning two "Firefinder" radar sites to enforce the fragile cease fire. Also successful in supporting Operation Joint Endeavor were the 102nd Military History Detachment, Topeka, who spent nine months in Bosnia-Herzegovina recording history and documenting combat activities for official military history, and two meteorological teams of Detachment Five, Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 35th Division Artillery, Hutchinson, who spent nine months providing weather information to artillery units in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
